BACKGROUND: The recent death of April’s mother heightened her agoraphobic tendencies. She had been receiving routine care at a dental office for many years, but her increased anxiety prevented her from leaving her home for appointments.

TREATMENT DETAILS: April paced her living room during most of the house call, visit but she allowed the team to take photos and X rays. She knew she needed dental treatment, but feared leaving her home. After her assessment and consultation, we recommended treatment with either root canal therapy or extraction. She elected extractions.
